The modern 9ct white gold ring has a head which is set with a central deep blue, marquise-cut sapphire (circa 1.2ct) flanked by three small round brilliant-cut diamonds on each side. The head is mounted on a shank which is split in the front and joined at the back. There are three small brilliant-cut diamond on the front of each of the split shanks. This makes a total of 18 diamonds weighing circa 0.44ct in total for the ring. The ring is marked 9ct (partial imprint).
