This is a vintage 9ct gold oval locket pendant, beautifully engraved on the front with a two-tone depiction of two elegant swans surrounded by reeds and water, symbolising love and fidelity. The design combines yellow and white gold for subtle contrast and fine textural detail. The locket opens to reveal an interior with a red fabric lining, designed to hold a cherished photograph or memento. Hallmarks on the reverse indicate 9ct gold, assayed in Birmingham, and dating to 1990.
