WHAT IS GOLD FILLED JEWELLERY?

Also known as rolled gold.  Gold filled jewellery is made by combining gold to another metal under high heat and pressure.  The gold used is considerably thicker than gold plating and as such is more tarnish resistant.  It can generally also be used on sensitive skin that usually can only wear solid gold.  To care for your jewellery, treat it as if it were plated and avoid chemicals such as chlorine, salt, perfumes etc.
