Photographed in the garage so not as clear as I would like photos

to be.   Delighted to offer this large Kurdi carpet or rug (some would say). A sizeable piece

at 287 by 210.  I measure it with fringes etc at 285cm by 207. It has

the well known gul design which would be influenced by the Tekke

Turkoman. This carpet is very striking in it's palette of colours

There are even splashes of bright yellow thrown into the mix, with green

orange & cobalt or ink blue. They are made by the Kurdish nomads

of Western Iran although they are nowadays resident. I believe of

natural dyes and hand spun yarn. Typical with the geometric design.

The carpet has abrash (colour dye changes) which are

characteristic & authenticates it.   Will grace any household. 

A good professional cleaning recommended

Hand knotted

Fringes are scant. This side fringe area some unraveling which

needs to be stitched to stop.  Will not be expensive.
