Hardcover first published 1946 by G.R. Cawthorn Ltd., no jacket. The green cloth boards with gilt titling are clean and square, with some wear to edges, and fraying starting at the head and foot of the spine. Apart from some foxing to both the maps of the routes of botanical expeditions undertaken by the author and by General Smuts, the pages are clean and unmarked.
