Standard edition. Col. and b/w illustrations. Landscape. Original khaki cloth; laminated pictorial dustwrapper. In illustrated slipcase. Dj spine slightly faded. Includes loose blank order form [for the book] with colour plate of Dwarf Bittern on the obverse.

A facsimile reproduction of 21 coloured paintings, each accompanied by a page of hand-written notes, covering the period 28 March 1918 to 4 April 1920. Finch-Davies (1876-1920) was an artist of immense talent who recieved the recognition he so richly deserved only in recent years and long after his death.
