A Collection of Ephemera of the Republic of the Orange Free State (1854–1902)

A comprehensive collection of ephemera on the history of the Republic of the Orange Free State (Oranje Vrijstaat, Oranje-Vrystaat) consisting of antique and vintage newspaper articles (mostly large A3 size) and clippings, including what appears to be a complete, rare copy of the Spesiale Uitgawe van Werda (December 1913).  A wealth of historical material primarily on the OFS and its Presidents (including original photographs of President Boshoff’s grave), but also on the Transvaal Republic, President Paul Kruger, and the Anglo-Boer War.  Interspersed amongst the materials are many interesting period advertisements, and material on the Spanish Flu or “Khaki Pes”.

Please note that shipping via the Post Office or courier is not available.  Parcels will be shipped via Postnet (to your closest branch), on the first Monday following clearance of payment.  The Postnet charge of R110 includes 10% in lieu of the BoB listing charges.
