It contains ten chapters, including "Useful Receipts" (formulations and methods for treating stains and marks in books, polishing, and to render paper fire-proof, for example), a "Dictionary of Terms", a "Chronology" of important developments in printing, and of the publication of significant works, and a "Typographical Gazeteer", a list of places where printing is "carried on" in Great Britain.
