Hard cover, blue cloth with gilt decoration and title to upper board, and gilt title, author and decoration to spine. Boards are worn, end papers are spotted, ffep has the lower corner torn off, spine is cracked and binding is visible between the end papers, (Possibly first two pages are missing between half title page and title page, not sure as I have nothing to gauge the book against). has a black and white frontis, Sixth edition, rewritten and enlarged with about three thousand five hundred illustrations. Yellowing to pages, outer edge of book block is soiled, has red ink stains to lower corners.
