Decorative green cloth-bound hardcovers with gilt stamped titling and decorations, and gilt edges. Light wear in general, and heavier wear to head and foot of spines. Light scattered foxing in places throughout each volume, and portrait tissue guards present as published. Narrow split to binding at front and end of volume three, and wrinkle and crease to one of the tissue guards. Volume two similar, with tears to the frontispiece tissue guard, as well as to others.
