A large shabby old Persian carpet

A large but well worn Persian carpet, probably a Qashqai or Abedeh with shades of reds and oranges on a blue ground. The carpet measures 310cm by 215cm. It is shabby and suffered from reduced ends, missing parts of the side cord, threadbare patches, holes and a patch. May be suitable for restoration, or for high traffic areas, alternatively for use in other decorating projects - cushion covers, ottomans, table runners etc.

The picture below is not 100% clear but in those two completely threadbare areas is considerable wear through warp and weft creating a string like effect
