This spectacular and very rare antique Swiss made original "Thorens" automatic cigarette lighter is a must have for any collection of antique and vintage lighters and smoking memorabilia. This Thorens lighter is considered by many to be the first great automatic lighter. Made in 1920, it paved the way and set the standard for all future automatic lighters. The lighter measures 3,5cm long x 0,9cm wide x 6cm high. This fantastic lighter comes in a protective pouch that is in excellent condition. The lighter's flicking mechanism works absolutely perfectly and the lighter has normal age and usage related wear and tear. The lighter is not tested and needs new fluid and a flint.
