This magnificent antique "French Cane" King Louis XVI style hand carved solid Rosewood king-size bed is a stunning find and in beautiful condition for its age. The wickerwork has been redone and is in great condition with no tears or holes etc. The bed most likely dates back to the 1920's. The styling of the bed is also sometimes referred to as a French Provincial bed. The bed is a classified as a European King size bed. The bed measures 225cm long x 166cm wide x 174cm high (160cm x 202cm space for the mattress). The bed is beautifully made, exquisitely carved and sits solidly on the ground. The entire bed can be disassembled for easy transport. The bed has minor age related wear and tear and scuffs (see pics) associated with an antique bed, but its what adds to the amazing charm and character of these opulent beds.
