THIS MAGNIFICENT LARGE (27cm TALL x 20cm WIDE) CHINESE PORCELAIN HAND PAINTED GINGER JAR IS IN PRISTINE CONDITION AND A STUNNING EXAMPLE OF THE AUTHENTIC GINGER JARS. GINGER JARS WERE USED AS STORAGE JARS FOR GINGER (A RARE SPICE IN IT'S DAY), HERBS AND SPICES AND THE LIKES. THE BASE OF THE GINGER JAR HAS AN ORIENTAL BACK STAMP. THERE ARE NO CHIPS OR CRACKS IN THIS STUNNING BLUE AND WHITE JAR WITH PINK FLOWERS.
