THIS SUPERBLY MAGNIFICENT ORIGINAL HALLMARKED VINTAGE ALBERT JACOB THEWALT (THEWALT) STONEWARE TANKARD WAS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 1949 AND 1990. THE COMPANY STARTED MAKING STONEWARE STEINS FROM 1893 AND THE THE POTTERS MARK ON THE BASE OF THIS TANKARD WAS ONLY USED FROM 1930 ONWARDS AND WESTERN GERMANY WAS IN EXISTENCE FROM 1949 TO 1990 WHEN THE BERLIN WALL WAS EVENTUALLY TORN DOWN. THE TANKARD FEATURES FAMOUS CASTLES AND LANDMARKS AROUND LUXEMBOURG. THE CREAM COLOURED TANKARD IS ACCENTUATED WITH BLUE COBALT GLAZING. THIS IS TRULY A SPECTACULAR PIECE AND HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CHIPS OR CRACKS.
