Bound in a contemporary dark calf binding with floral gilt decoration to front and back boards. The initials J.J.H. and the date 1784 in gilt to the front board. Five raised bands and gilt decorations to the spine. Decorated pastedowns to front and rear. Gutters and rear free end paper repaired. 296 hand written pages with numerous illuminated titles in mostly red, black and green ink. Prayers written in German. Some finger marks and a few stain but generally very good.
