Published by the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1938. First edition limited to 3000.

First Edition. Very good with some rubbing on the edges. Content clean and staple binding stil solid. Tiny neat bookseller label to bottom left corner of back cover ( Modern Books, 12 Church Street, Cape Town ). Neat name and date of previous owner on front free endpaper: A. d'Egville Stott/ 3 June '40. Alan d'Egville Stott, was born in 1920 and bought this book in Cape Town. By age 24 he was a Lieutenant in the South African Air Force. In 1944 he was a navigator in one of the planes ordered by Churchill to assist and supply the Polish resistance Home Army during the Warsaw Uprising. 69 South Africans were killed and 17 aircraft were shot down between 13 and 16 August 1944 alone. On 15 August 1944 Alan died defending Poland against the Nazis. Some of his personal effects were returned to his family. This book passed into the collection of award-winning architect Kenneth Gardner and his artist wife Cynthia Villet, and was recently acquired from her deceased estate. Only 3000 copies of this original book on the house Falling Water, Wright's masterpiece, were prnted at Spiral Press, New York for the Trustees of the Museum of Modern Art, of which 1250 were reserved for members of the Museum.
