DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	These are beautiful and classy. This PAIR OF STYLISED GLASS HORSE BOOKENDS were made by the L E Smith Glass Co. (USA) in the 1930s / 1940s in ART DECO STYLE. They are large and heavy with dimensions of 24 x 17 x 9cm and a weight of 3.66 kg. They are made of moulded glass. You can see the pair in the image above and there are four more images and further particulars below. CONDITION	The bookends are generally in good condition with a few small chips, which are only visible through careful inspection and which are detailed in an image below.

NOTES
Beautiful, scarce and a complete set by a well known manufacturer of glass ornaments. This pair is very collectable and extremely decorative.

Seen from the other side. The bookends look virtually identical from both sides and are both the same.

There are a few small chips present to the undersides as well as to the crest of both horses which are only visible at close inspection and are to be expected on an old set such as this one. These are indicated on the collage of images above.

The pair shown with a match box to give an indication of relative size. They are large and each one is 24 cm wide, stands 17 cm tall and is 9 cm deep.
