1766 Original Antique Copperplate Engraving of "Le Fulmar or Petrel Puffin, de L'Isle of St. Kilda" by Buffon Hand Coloured in Watercolour. This plate was removed from a period encyclopedia. The size of this plate is exactly 245 x 188 mm. Printed in 1766 by George LeClerc Buffon one of the worlds renowned natural history scientists. He drew and painted every plant and animal that came his way, and produced one of the most comprehensive sets of books, that is still collected today.
