This antique hallmarked sterling silver sauce boat weighs 49.10grams and is 11cm long. The hallmarks on the sauce boatconsist of the "WL" makers mark confirming it is a Thomas Moore II piece, The lion Passant confirming it is British sterling silver (925), the Leopard with a crown Assay mark confirming it was made in London and the date letter "E" confirming it was made in 1760. Please note that tax on silver was introduced in 1784 and therefore this piece does not have a tax stamp. There is age and usage related wear.
