This very rare antique wedding seat from the Swati Valley in Pakistan has a beautiful Persian camel saddle cushion cover (no filling) and measures 108cm long x 52cm wide x 94cm high. The heavily carved bench has been painstakingly painted in a multitude of vibrant colours which one finds on much of the Swati (Swat) Valley furniture. The bench would most likely have been made out of solid cedar wood which is a widely used hardwood found in that region. The beautiful carved detailing on this traditional rustic hand made and carved bench includes floral acacia carvings and large finials. The handmade camel saddle cushion would need filling and does show a little age wear and tear - please view the pics.
