This beautifully engraved and rare antique Victorian monogrammed sterling silver Vesta case measures roughly 4.5cm high x 3.5cm wide. The hallmarks include the Lion Passant and Anchor office marks confirming it is British sterling silver (925) and is made in Birmingham. The date stamp "z" confirms the Vesta case was made in 1899 and the Makers Mark confirms it was made by EV Pledge & Sons. The Vesta case weighs 24.97g. The case is in beautiful condition for its age and has no visible dents or obvious scratches.
