This very rare boxed set (two bottles) of 1998 French "Maison Bouachon" Chateauneuf-Du-Pape "La Tiare du Pape" wine is a superb wine for a collector, and one of only a handful of 1998's in circulation. The wine is produces in extremely low numbers (about 3000 cases a year). Maison Bouachon La Tiara du Pape is produced from 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 7% Mourvedre and 3% of assorted grape varieties. The grapes are de-stemmed. The wine is aged in a combination of old foudres (old wooden vat) and used oak barrels for 12 months before bottling. If you are a collector, and specifically a collector of French wines, you would know the rarity and value of of these two bottles.
