 A rare late 19th century musical alarm carriage clock: signed Junghans.

Trade mark: "J" with star and retailed by W.M. Meyerink & Co.

In same horologic books this type of clock is referred to as the "German Black Forest Joker Musical Alarm"

They were the German company from Hamburg, based in Hong Kong and Shanghai during the latter 1890-1900.

Research shows them in Hong Kong during 1890's and under their name Wm. MEYERINK & CO listed on Chinese manifest
 
as located at ”The Peak " Hong Kong.

They were importers furnishing watches amongst other things to the Europeans, living in Hong Kong and Shanghai at the
 
time.
