A RARE MOUNT OF WORLDS BIGGEST MOTH

The wingspan of a female Atlas Moth can reach up to 30cm with a surface area of 62 square inches. Go ahead and hold up a ruler thats one big bug.
The Atlas Moth can be found in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia. Atlas moths are perhaps most famous for the markings on the upper corner of their wings, which bear an uncanny resemblance to cobra heads.
After spending about a month in their cocoons, Atlas Moths emerge as the beautiful creatures you see in these pictures. Unfortunately, this state is short lived as the adult moths typically die within a week or two of spreading their wings.
They have become relatively rare in recent years due to the collectors trade.
I am sorry but I bought this one about 20 years ago.
Frame has some damage on bottom and corner.
