Pulling no punches and respecting no-one, the famous Showman Duke tells of his magnificent home and of the scandals and eccentricities of his forebears, the Russell family (part of the English nobility as the Dukes of Bedford) of Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire, England between the 1400s and 1959.

The author turned his ancestral home into a thriving commercial enterprise, the crumbling Woburn Abbey into a tourist attraction.
