This incredible 9 ct gold ladies ring with a stunning large mabe pearl centre stone is in beautiful condition and looks stunning. The gold ring measures 3cm long x 2cm wide and the stunning mabe pearl is 1,5cm across. The ring weighs 6,4g and is a size P 1/2. The pearl centre is perfectly in place. There is normal age and usage related wear and tear to this magnificent gold and pearl ring but the ring still looks absolutely wonderful. From the internet: Mabe blister Pearls are quite different from what you might consider “normal” pearls. The reason for this stems from the way that mabe pearls are formed. Mabe pearls are considered to be “semi-spherical cultured pearls”. Instead of growing inside the body of the mollusk creature, as is the case with other pearls, mabe pearls grow against the inside shell. This process causes Mabe pearls to have a flat side, as opposed to being relatively spherical, or at least rounded like standard pearls.
