Carlos Estevez showed a natural talent for painting and drawing at a young age. His talent led to wide recognition in many art contests. Born in Colombia S.A. move to the U.S. in 1969 and Since 1977, has called Texas home.
He studied art, oils and acrylics at the Glassell School of Art in Houston. Sculpting clay modeling and mold making in Austin at the Elisabet Ney Museum. His love for animals is truly reflected in his work. Carlos is a passionate and genuine person. His vision, discipline and a childhood passion for horses and wildlife are reflected in his exceptional sculptures.
In 1992 Carlos produced his first sculpture for business purposes. His work has been exhibited at numerous places: The Kentucky Horse Park, The American Quarter Horse Museum, as well as fine art shows and art galleries throughout the United States. He has being commissioned by several Horse Associations to design their trophies. On June 2003 he was Commissioned By Country Artist (a worldwide recognize company in the gift industry) to design 50 horse figurines for a series called “All About Horses.”
His Collectors base are World Wide: In the Kingdome of Bahrain, England, Spain, Canada, Australia, Japan, Colombia, and Mexico which recognized by the ANDA (Mexican actors & artist association) to exhibit at their main hall “Salon Siqueiros”
His limited edition pieces are cast in Bronze, or Mix Media. On his Mix media Sculptures he hand paints each piece differently making every sculpture within the edition, one-of-a-kind offering collectors a unique work of art!
