Hardcover published 1905 by Oliphant Anderson & Ferrier. The boards are square and solid, with wear to the extremities and faces, and marked in places. The top external page edges are shelf-dusted, and the first and last few pages contain some foxing / spotting. The name of a previous owner is written in now-faded ink on the half title page. There is some tanning around the perimeter of the pages at the fold-out map of East Central Africa, that also has a long tear from one side. The fold-out map in the rear (Central Angoniland with Stations of the D.R. Church) also has a long tear to one edge. All photographic plates are present and well bound.
