This truly spectacular signed original Denzil Herring (1940 - 2008) "still life" oil on canvas painting is an absolute gem of a find and depicts one of the artists favourite topics. Although this South African painter indulged in abstract art, he is most renowned for his rich, vibrant and detailed still life paintings that included topics such as wine carafes, wine glasses, brass vases, candelabras, lamps etc and created "scenes" within his paintings. This painting brings forward the idea of a reading room or library in a Victorian home. No collection is complete without an original Denzil Herring painting. This would make a superb painting in an executives office or boardroom, but would look equally at home in a living room or bedroom. The framed painting measures 70cm wide x 80cm high and 52cm wide x 62cm high without the frame. There as some scuffs etc on the frame, but nothing a little TLC cant sort out. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this incredible painting and to confirm the condition.
