A unique one of a kind silk stiched picture of St nicholas who brought the children back to life

This picture is hand sewn with silk. everything eXcept his hands and face and the children in the barell are sewn. The out line of the right hand is visible but faded. This must be an extremely old piece of work. One can see that the original piece was maybe trimmed and put into this lovely frame after.

 I have googled and only come across on picture that shows this story (see pic attached) but non that are hand stiched

art work is 16x20cm the frame is 33.5x 29cm

According to another legend, a robber entered a tavern and murdered and dismembered three children and placed their remains in barrels, which were pickled, salted and cured for customers to eat. St. Nicholas entered the tavern and was asked if he was hungry. Nicholas replied: not of what the tavern was offering. He then made the dismembered children whole again. This tale led to him becoming the patron saint of children and stories of him giving presents to good children and twigs to naught ones.
