A very old pair of used Dutch clogs with leather straps

This is an old and used pair of Dutch clogs that was clearly more than simply decorative. So far it has not been possible to accurately date them. 

Despite their obvious use they are in a good condition and also has the original leather straps (that helped to keep these horrifyingly comfortable shoes secure on your feet) that also shows age but no damage.

We would not readily recommend using these clogs as shoes unless part of a costume for a play or such, but they would certainly be very decorative and could even be boxed and framed. With the painted decoration they are quite artistic and attractive not to mention the historic value. They measure about 29 cm X 10 cm X 7.5 cm.
