This very rare antique John Engstrom Eskilstuna (1874) Swedish barrel (or Sloyd) knife is in stunning condition for its age. The handle and the blade are in good condition and although the blade slide (in and out of the handle) is tight, a knife enthusiast would very easily service and oil it to be smoother. The knife measures 13.5cm long in the closed position and extends to 22cm long when slid into the handle. The blade is stamped on both sides and is a beautiful example of a traditional Swedish Sloyd knife. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this amazing knife and to confirm the condition.
