Mother of Pearl and Abalone shell - both are used in reverse glass gilding. This product is mostly used in small pieces to add a decorative finish.The shell is attached to the glass using 1Shot Speed Dry UV Acrylic Clear - this tried and tested method dries completely clear between the glass and shell, something that is essential when working with this technique.Some of the shells are bright colours - this isn't the natural colour, they have been laminated on both sides with a tinted coating. The shell is also not one whole piece - each sheet is made from smaller strips that have been laminated together.
