Absinthe - A Rendezvous At Nirvana 2xCD [NEW / SEALED]

A Rendezvous at Nirvana by Absinthe is a 2CD acoustic cover album featuring two of South Africa's most prominent rock vocalists: Cito (from the band Wonderboom) and Paul E. Flynn (from the band Sugardrive). Released in 2011 through Sheer Sound, the project offers a stripped-down, intimate reinterpretation of classic alternative and rock anthems.

The album is split into two distinct parts across a 24-track runtime:

Disc 1 (Live Performance): A raw, intimate set recorded live in front of an audience.

Disc 2 (Studio Sessions): A collection of live-in-the-studio recordings that maintain the acoustic atmosphere but provide slightly cleaner studio isolation.

The instrumentation is completely minimalist, relying entirely on two acoustic guitars and a brush drum kit to drive the melodies. This arrangement forces the focus squarely on the vocal interplay and harmonies between Cito and Flynn, contrasting their distinct vocal textures.
