Abstract profile portrait by British artist Roy Owens

Offered for sale is a stylish and enigmatic mixed media artwork by British artist Roy Owen dated 1993 and titled Stoicism and Pain. It is mixed media,  airbrush,  pen and ink on paper signed in pencil . The image is pop art /modernist in styling depicting two overlapping male faces in  profile with a single profile view of an eye and a cone shaped emission from the eye area suggesting vision or thought or an energy field with two interlocking puzzle like forms below. The picture is well framed in a silver gilt wood frame with non reflective glass and a thin black inner mount board to complement the design. The picture is strongly reminiscent of poster designs from the Art Deco period and early film posters and advertising posters.
