Acacia davyi Bonsai seed

Common Name: Cork Thorn or Kurkdoring

Family: Fabaceae

Acacia davyi or as it is commonly known, Cork Thorn has a rather untidy appearance as a large tree, but is well suited to the art of Bonsai.  It has a very attractice corky bark.  It is usually found in hilly or mountainous country in higher rainfall areas.  The leaves appear fresh-green, it has spines instead of thorns and the flowers are borne at the branch terminals and appear deep yellow to orange.
