Common Name: Bastard Camel Thorn or Basterkameeldoring Family: Fabaceae Acacia erioloba x haematoxylon's growth form is similar to that of A. erioloba but the foliage is grayer, though greener than that of A. haemantoxylon. This is a recognized hybrid and naturally occurs in the Kalahari sands of the Northern Cape. Typically it has numerous closely-packed grayish leaflets. It has strongly curled and velvety grey seed pods. The flowers is an impressive yellow.
