Acrolophia cochlearis is a South African endemic species from the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape Provinces. It is synonymously known as Acrolophia micrantha and Eulophia cochlearis. It grows to 90 cm tall. This robust plant from the summer rainfall area bears yellowish-brown flowers with white tips and red-purple basal blotches from spring to summer.
