Adidas R15 II SG

Following in the footsteps of its’ predecessor, the adidas R15 SG has been completely revamped in terms of performance, fit and looks to create the adidas R15 II SG Rugby Boot.

Featuring Taurus leather, the same as used on the Predator RX, this creates a light weight and natural look which also happens to incorporates waterproof elements. Additionally, adidas have cemented the leather in the forefoot to help prevent shoe deformation and stretching, allowing the boot to mould to your feet perfectly.

Underneath the boot, a new one-piece outsole increases the strength and natural feel of the boot whilst more significantly decreasing the weight of the footwear. To further lighten the boot, new interchangeable studs have been introduced taking 46g off the weigh-in whilst still making them effective on any natural soft ground surface.

Not to be overlooked, the heel counter now has a synthetic print to prevent heel slippage and create a great fit. This is especially significant with the boot being ideal for second row all the way to backs.

Opting for a classic style rugby boot, the black and white colouring is enhanced with blue stitching across the whole boot. The trademark adidas three stripes run down either side accompanied by an adidas logo subtly positioned on the heel.

To create such a high performance rugby boot, adidas have worked extensively with key players including Richie McCaw, Pierre Spies, Jerome Kaino and James Haskell.
