History of Adriatica Watches
The history of Adriatica, as a trade mark, is closely assocated with the latter period through a Swiss Watch Company established in 1852 in Montilier, close to Murten, at the foot of the Watch Valley. It has not yet been clearly established as from when it started dedicating watches of their brands but it is generally admitted that it was at some time earlier than 1931. During World War II the brand remained dormant. After the War, an associated company established in Biel/Bienne, again started the manufacturing of Adriatica watches. In 1989 the Fluri family acquire the Adriatica brand and continue on from its glorious Swiss Made past.
Since 1999 Adriatica watches are being manufactured in their own watch factory in Dongio. The Adriatica watch brand are distributed in almost every major Country in the world. The Adriatica Watch Company is a member of the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry FH.
