Size A4. Hardcover with dust jacket in good condition. First published in 1983 by Macmillan SA Publishers with 276 pages and b/w and colour illustrations. Blue boards with gilt lettering to spine. Foxing spots on back end page and page 276. Inscription on last end page. Scuff marks to top and bottom of spine. A combination of text and pictures reveals the traditional beliefs, customs and ritual that shape the everyday lives of black people who lived (as some still do) in rural areas. No shipping overseas.
