This set of sixteen stamp-medallions of South Africa was minted in Sterling Silver (and coated in gold) by the Africana Commemorative Mint.

 It commemorates the 1974/5 definitive RSA stamp series

The total weight is 545 grams of Sterling Silver, which converts to 504 grams of PURE SILVER (That is more than half a kilogram of pure silver!)

The current spot (silver) value of the set is over R4000.00

As this is a limited edition of 5000 sets, one must still add the collector’s value to that.
