The mug shows Prime Minister General Louis Bothas profile in relief on one side, on the other With the compliments of Dowson & Dobson LTD. The design, colouring and feel of this mug is very much 1950s and I think it is safe to assume that it is a 1950s curiosity. I have 2 in the series, so there most probably would have been more. It would be interesting to find out if anyone else has more information on these.
