Hardcover first edition 1947 published by Doubleday & Company. The jacket is worn and rubbed, with much wear and chipping and small tears to the edges, and the spine is sunned. Several longer tears have been taped over on the reverse. The boards are clean, square and solid. There are rectangular blocks of tanning to the front and rear inside boards, and pages opposite, but otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked.
