The Ajax BulletCam (5 MP/4 mm) is a wired AI-powered IP security camera designed for reliable indoor and outdoor video surveillance. It combines high-resolution 5 MP video with a narrower 4 mm lens that is well suited to monitoring driveways, entrances, passages and other areas where more focused coverage is required. Built-in AI recognises people, pets and vehicles, while infrared illumination and True WDR help maintain useful image detail across challenging lighting conditions. It can form part of a complete Ajax video security system or integrate with compatible third-party video platforms.

• Identifies the objects that matter. Built-in AI distinguishes between people, pets and vehicles, helping you focus on relevant activity instead of treating every movement the same way.
• Detailed 5 MP video. Records at up to 2880 × 1620 resolution at 25 fps, providing clear footage for everyday monitoring and visual verification.
• Focused 4 mm viewing angle. The fixed 4 mm lens provides an approximately 75° to 85° viewing angle, making it particularly useful where you need more concentrated coverage rather than a very wide scene.
• Clearer footage in difficult lighting. True WDR balances bright and dark areas within the same image, helping preserve detail around entrances, windows and other high-contrast scenes.
• Night monitoring up to 50 metres. Built-in infrared illumination allows the camera to continue monitoring after dark without relying on visible lighting.
• Audio captured at the camera. An integrated digital microphone adds sound to your video recordings where local regulations and installation requirements permit its use.
• Flexible power options. The camera supports PoE through its Ethernet connection or a separate 12 V DC supply, giving installers more flexibility when planning the cable layout.
• Built for exposed installations. Its IP66-rated enclosure and IK08 impact protection make the BulletCam suitable for both indoor and outdoor security applications.

Did You Know?

• The BulletCam does not require an Ajax NVR to operate. A microSD card of up to 256 GB can be installed in the camera for local video storage, allowing it to function as a standalone recording camera where appropriate.
• It is not limited to the Ajax ecosystem. Support for ONVIF Profile S and RTSP allows the camera to work with compatible third-party VMS and NVR solutions, which is useful when adding Ajax video to an existing surveillance installation.
• The 4 mm version is designed for more focused surveillance than the 2.8 mm model. Ajax specifies DORI distances for the 5 MP/4 mm version of approximately 86 m for detection, 34.4 m for observation, 17.2 m for recognition and 8.6 m for identification under the DORI methodology.

Compatibility & App Support

The BulletCam integrates with Ajax apps for live monitoring, configuration, event access and video verification within an Ajax security system. Ajax JetSparrow technology supports fast video streaming and archive navigation, while the camera can also operate with compatible ONVIF Profile S and RTSP systems. It supports local storage on a microSD card up to 256 GB and can be used with an Ajax NVR where centralised recording is required.
