Control your Ajax system at the gate, entrance or outside access point
The Ajax KeyPad Outdoor Jeweller is a wireless keypad designed for both outdoor and indoor use, giving users a practical control point before entering or leaving a protected area. It supports secure authentication using Pass, Tag, smartphone via Bluetooth, or access codes, making it a strong fit for homes, complexes, offices, warehouses and gated access points.
Built for outdoor use
With IP66 protection and IK08 impact resistance, KeyPad Outdoor Jeweller is designed for exposed installation areas where rain, dust and knocks are a concern. It is suitable for both outdoor and indoor mounting.
Flexible authentication options
Users can control the system using Ajax Pass cards, Tag key fobs, supported smartphones with BLE 4.2 or later, and keypad codes. The keypad also supports general, personal, unregistered-user and duress codes.
More than just arming and disarming
KeyPad Outdoor Jeweller supports two operating modes. Depending on configuration, it can switch security modes, manage automation devices, or act as a bypass keypad to start an entry delay before disarming on a main control device.
Function button and audible notifications
The keypad includes a built-in buzzer and LED indication for alarms, security mode changes, entry and exit delays, opening detector activity and malfunctions. Its function button can also be configured for panic or fire alarm muting functions.
Strong wireless performance
Using Ajax Jeweller radio communication, the keypad can communicate with a compatible hub or range extender at up to 1,700 m in open space, subject to site conditions.
Battery or external power
The unit runs on 2 × CR123A batteries with a claimed battery life of up to 3 years. It also supports an external 10.514 V DC power supply, while the batteries remain in place as backup power.
KeyPad Outdoor Jeweller is best positioned near an entrance so users can disarm before entering fully or arm the site when leaving. Ajax also notes a recommended installation height of about 1.2 to 1.5 m and advises keeping the area immediately in front of the reader clear for proper tag, card and Bluetooth operation.
