Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor is a 90-degree wireless outdoor detector with an adjustable range from 3 15m and includes anti-masking and tamper. It is designed to function in even the most challenging outdoor environments with intelligent protection against fault alarms and includes the maximum possible protection for outdoor detectors.
The anti-masking function, which in on around the clock by default, detects installation of barriers, pasting over, application of paint or transparent coating on one or two lenses. The integrated tamper alarm notifies you if the dust and moisture-proof detector body is opened.

Two-step algorithm for false alarm prevention
A street is always in action: the wind sways leaves and bushes warmed by the sun, animals and birds move around, various insects land on the body of the detector. This diversity of flora and fauna creates a constant barrage of noise that makes it hard for outdoor motion detectors to spot the real threat, humans. We've solved this problem both on software and hardware levels by implementing two PIR sensors and developing a unique two-step algorithm for signal analysis, LISA.

Spectral analysis
When both sensors detect motion, but the correlational analysis doesn't identify enough similarities, LISA compares frequency components in the signals of both sensors.
Grade 3 level of anti-masking
An outdoor detector is an easy target. During the day when the system is disarmed, intruders may damage the sensors or block their view to gain an advantage in trespassing at night. To prevent the cases of sabotage, Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor is equipped with a tamper button and an advanced anti-masking system that can remain active 24/7.
The anti-masking system in MotionProtect Outdoor meets the Grade 3 level of the EN 50131 security standard. It is calibrated automatically when the device is mounted onto SmartBracket to be aware of the surrounding area. Then, if an obstacle appears in the field of view of anti-masking sensors or if they are painted, the detector quickly notices sabotage and raises the alarm. Moreover, a sensitive tamper is immediately activated if someone attempts to dismount the detector from SmartBracket.

MotionProtect Outdoor comes with pre-installed battery, so you do not need to disassemble it. The detector can be connected to the hub by one click in the mobile application. It can be mounted at a height of 0.8 to 1.3 meters on the SmartBracket in just a few minutes. Although the complete battery life is 5 years, it is possible to connect external power supply.
