Ajax Rex 2 is a radio signal range extender with photo verification support that expands the wireless range between the Ajax Hub and connected wireless devices.
The intelligent radio signal range extender enables users to place Ajax devices at a considerable distance from the hub for protecting multi-story offices, detached buildings, and even production plants.
Rex 2 works with Hub 2 (2G), Hub 2 (4G) and Hub 2 Plus control panels and is compatible with MotionCam devices.

Range extenders expand the boundaries of the protected area and give even more freedom to place security system devices. By connecting all or part of the devices to ReX 2, you will ensure the security and automation of a business centre, estate, warehouse complex or a large production facility.

Verification of alarms with snapshots
Events and alarms are transmitted instantly and the first photo verification snapshot is delivered in just 13 seconds when transmitting images from MotionCam Outdoor (default settings) through ReX 2 range extender and the hub. The hub should be connected to the internet via Ethernet, WiFi or LTE.

ReX 2 over Ethernet - Radio communication through steel and concrete
If Ajax Rex 2 is out of wireless range of the Hub, connect it via Ethernet. The next major OS Malevich update allows covering office centres with underground parking lots, sectional metal hangars, and warehouse complexes of several large buildings with a single Ajax system. Once the operating system is updated, ReX 2 will be able to connect to a hub both via radio communication and via Ethernet using the wire as a single or second communication channel.

Enhanced security system
ReX 2 works as an extra intelligent control panel: it connects devices into an autonomous group and takes over control at the right time. Thanks to automatic adjustment of signal strength and frame synchronization, any number of system devices can be connected to ReX 2 and the reliability of communication will not be affected by this. If, for some reason, radio communication with the hub is interrupted, ReX 2 will receive an alarm from a sensor and activate a siren to draw attention to the incident and deter the burglar.
