Alexander Podlaschuc was born in 1930 . He studied under Edward Roworth, Walter Battiss, Maurice van Essche, Keith Vaughan, Victor Passmore, Gertrude Hermes, Mervyn Peake,William Roberts, and Paul Hogarth.

He has numerous diplomas in Fine Art and a Masters Diploma in Technology.

He has worked as art lecturer, critic, cartoonist, and full time artist and is exhibited and represented widely.
